Amphibians of the

central appalachians

We are currently in the process of writing a field guide to the amphibians of the Central Appalachians. The scope of the book will include all of West Virginia, Maryland’s Mountainous Region, Virginia’s Mountainous Region, and Southwest Pennsylvania’s Mountainous Region.

We are going to be raising funds through print, poster, & sticker sales, as well as book pre-orders, once we are closer to printing. We need money to fund travel for photographing the species in the book, design software, test prints, and to pay our incredibly talented illustrator.

Documenting the Process

We have been documenting our process of creating this guide through our YouTube videos. Their focus is mainly on field work; finding and photographing the many species of Central Appalachian amphibians in their natural habitats. Don’t forget to subscribe to catch our latest videos as they drop!
